The Leadership of the Gospel Music Workshop of America consists of the following:

The Chairman, Bishop Albert L. Jamison, Sr. provides leadership and gives direction to the board of directors and to the convention.

An anointed "man of God", Bishop Albert L. Jamison, Sr. serves as Pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Tabernacle in his native Brooklyn, New York. A nationally renowned evangelist, Bishop Jamison travels to some of the largest cities and churches across the United States preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is married to "Lady" Dianette and they have one son, Jordan Allen. Bishop Jamison's other son, Albert Jr., passed away in 2001.

     Bishop Jamison attended Martin Luther King Seminary in New York City and Hampton University in Virginia. He currently serves as:

President and Founder of Pentecost at Any Cost Ministry;
Chairman of the Board of Governors, Perfecting Christian-Pentecostal Connection;
Bishop of Finance, Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship; and
Board of Directors, African-American Religious Connection.

JamisonBishop Jamison's resume` also includes: Member, Ministerial Board for the Leukemia Society Board of Directors; Past 1st Vice President of Free Spirit Assembly of New York City, and the Ministerial Alliance Award from New York City Mayor David Dinkins for People United to Save Our Children.

As a leader in the church, Reverend Jamison exemplifies the powerful ministry of gospel music. With his guidance, the choir, "People United to Save our Children," has developed a rich and far-reaching ministry. The choir received the 20th Annual Dove Award for Contemporary Black Gospel Album of the Year. Bishop Jamison is nationally known as Founder and President of the Triboro Mass Choir. The choir has recorded eight albums and in 1979 was nominated for a Grammy Award for their recording, "In God's Own Time My Change Will Come." Under his direction, the New York State Chapter of Gospel Music Workshop of America performed a live recording and video entitled, "Moving On," in 1994.

In March 1996, Bishop Jamison was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc. (GMWA). The GMWA, founded by the late Reverend James Cleveland, is the world's premier independent gospel music convention. Prior to becoming Chairman, Bishop Jamison served as Vice Chairman of Ministries and as Vice President of the Board of Chapter Representatives. Along with his current duties, Bishop Jamison serves as State Representative of the Eastern New York Chapter of the GMWA.
