GMWA Divisions The divisions and auxiliaries of the Gospel Music Workshop of America function under the authority of the Board of Directors. The head of each division and auxiliary is appointed by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. Each division and auxiliary has the authority to appoint such officers as necessary to carry out the program and services of the auxiliary. Such action is subject to approval by the Board of Directors. The National Divisions are listed below. Click on the division/auxiliary title to get more information. - The given characteristics of an African-American and Euro-American sacred music community
- Experiences that contribute to the learning process
The Academic Division of the Gospel Music Workshop of America has the primary responsibility for educational, curriculum development and general training within the organization. The Academic Division is headed by a Dean. The Dean appoints persons to help carry out operations and developments within the Academic Division. All appointments within the Academic Division are made by the Dean. Special Academic Programs… The Board of Directors of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, via the Dean of the Academic Division, approved the development of various academic partnership arrangements between the Academic Division and various colleges/universities and corporations that can help promote and advance the overall purposes, objectives and goals of the Academic Division. A written copy of lyrics should also be included. If song is selected, further information will be sent to the writer.Only submit songs that have NOT been previously recorded. Submit songs that have Choir and solo, four-part harmony. Not SOLOs only. Submit original songs, not arrangements. If song is selected and recorded, you will be asked to share-publishing with GMWA record label, WEIS Music Group. All singing units within the GMWA come under the GMWA Minister-of-Music
Local Chapters (from various cities and countries throughout the world) are the basic unit of organization of the GMWA. Locally the chapter offers to its membership and others of the city in which it is located, performance, academic and ministry opportunities. A Chapter Representative heads each local chapter that follows rules and regulations established by the Chapter Representatives Division of the parent body.  |

General Information • Please note that the Men, Women, and Evangelist Departments will worship in a joint service on Thursday night at midnight during this years convention • We will sing approximately three to four song presented
Uniform • Black suits, white shirt, and red ties • This year a fortieth year commemorative T-shirt will be worn on Wednesday (National T-shirt Day). Please look for this T-shirt near national registration site. Approximate cost $15.
Music Packets • Approximately fifteen songs will be presented during this convention • Music packet will sell for $25 based on songs submitted • Music packet will be available on Sunday immediately after consecration worship in the designated distribution location.
Youth & Young Adult Mass Choir Mrs. Merdean Gales, Board Liaison 
Programs that target youth and young adults and teach the principles of Christianity, worship ethics, work ethics, social responsibility and citizenship through the disciplines of the gospel music art.
Ministry Division

The Daily Bread includes sermons, lectures and special music from nationally known preachers, evangelists and singers. 3.
